The Space

While located next to the main house, The Bower has its own entrance, privacy screening, and parking right at your door. We keep our hosting discrete so you can really enjoy the space and your special time. Dog lovers may receive some cuddles from Rosie the cosy labrador.

Before you arrive, we’ll share our favourite local experiences: scenic lookouts, bushwalks, bike rides, country drives, the best apple pies, delicious dining spots, and seasonal fruit picking at nearby orchards.

Do as much or as little as you like—this is your time. It’s the perfect spot for travelers who care about the environment but still love a little pampering.

Local hikes around Mountain Lagoon will take you through pristine bush, home to koalas and other wildlife, tree fern lined creeks, waterfalls and spectacular summit views. Use our bikes to ride around the picturesque lagoon, magical at any time of the year.

Once you arrive at The Bower you won’t want to leave, so bring your food and drinks with you! Cook up a storm on the gas bbq or in the fully equipped kitchen. We also provide Nespresso machine and pods, tea, milk, sugar, oil and condiments. Local cafes and restaurants are at Bilpin, about 20 minutes drive from our place. The nearest supermarket is at Kurrajong Heights.

Couples Massage

A decadent Couples Massage in the privacy of your cabin or covered deck for a unique nature experience. Lavished with essential oils and healing hands, choose from champagne and chocolates or a cheese and fruit platter, $445- for 2 x 1-hour massages. Due to high demand early booking required.

Celebrating

Celebrating a special anniversary? Let us set the scene for you! Champagne on ice, fresh flowers, chocolates or a grazing platter will be ready for you when you arrive. Let us know what you have in mind and we will confirm costs. Romance Packages cost from $195- Please allow 1 week before your arrival date.

Private Tours

Private tours with local experts for morning birdwatching, wildlife detectives, glow worm caves or daytime reptile spotting. $395- for a 2-3 hour private tour for two. We can also recommend guided canyoning tours for the more adventurous.

Please note that Massages, Romance Packages and tours are not included in your accommodation fee. Demand is very high, so these need to be booked at least 2 weeks prior to your stay. Message us to confirm availability and to organise payment. To have time for these experiences you need to book a 2-night stay.

What to Bring

Guest Access

Wi-Fi is provided at the cabin. Mobile coverage can be patchy in the area, so internet-based communication works best.
The accommodation is for up to two guests only. There are no extra sleeping facilities available, and it is not suitable for children.
The cabin does not include laundry facilities, however guests staying for more than four nights are welcome to access washing and drying facilities in the main house upon request for a small fee.
As a pristine natural environment, we ask that you treat the land with respect, limiting loud music and leaving only footprints wherever your adventures lead you. While the cabin is private, it is nestled within gardens that are part of a shared space and residence.
